The snow that occurred Sunday has left some slick spots on area roads this morning from southeast West Virginia, south into the mountains of southwest Virginia and northwest North Carolina. With temperatures in the teens and 20s, untreated roads will stay slick through late morning. Those traveling should use caution this morning.

At 326 PM EST, an area of moderate to heavy snow showers was located along a line extending from near Neola to near Alvon to near Wolfcreek. Movement was east at 30 mph. Winds in excess of 30 mph are possible with this area of heavy snow. Expect accumulations of a dusting to an inch, and visibilities under a half mile at times. Locations impacted include... Alleghany... Covington... Clifton Forge... Lewisburg... White Sulphur Springs... Ronceverte... and Neola. Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations.
