Special Weather Statement issued January 18 at 8:59PM EST by NWS Boston/Norton MA

The last of the showers will be departing the region in the next hour or so. Otherwise...light winds overnight combined with partial clearing will allow temps to fall to around freezing or just below in many locations. This may result in the development of patchy freezing fog and black ice to develop on some road surfaces...especially with our recent stretch of cold weather. Motorists planning travel overnight into early Sunday morning should be prepared for patches of black ice. Roads that look wet might be icy...especially across bridges and overpasses.
