Special Weather Statement issued December 21 at 10:24AM EST by NWS Caribou ME

Periods of light snow will continue off and on through the afternoon across much of Eastern and Northern Maine. Northwest winds will begin to increase and will gust 20-30mph at times. Snow will begin blowing and drifting across the roads in open areas, especially the agricultural areas of Aroostook and Washington counties, which will create reduced visibility at times. Drive slowly, keep your distance from the car ahead of you, and keep your headlights on.
