W.Va. Disaster Recovery Center Relocates to Princeton on Thursday, Jan. 2 CHARLESTON, W.Va.– The Mercer County Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Bluefield, W.Va. will be closing on Monday, Dec. 30 at 5 p.m. and relocating to Princeton, W.Va. The Princeton DRC will open at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2. Madison County Disaster Recovery Center to Temporarily Close Dec. 23 for Holidays Hickory, NC – In partnership with the state and local government, FEMA will close the Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Madison County as of 6 p.m. Dec 23. for the holidays.  The center will reopen at 8 a.m. on Dec. 27. The center will also be closed for New Year’s Day and reopen at 8 a.m. on Jan. 2. Center Location Madison Library 1335 N. Disaster Recovery Center Delayed Opening on Dec. 21 due to Forecasted Inclement Weather CHARLESTON, W.Va.– Due to forecasted weather, and out of an abundance of caution for Mercer County residents and FEMA staff, the FEMA-state Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Bluefield will have a delayed opening tomorrow, Dec. 21.  FEMA is planning to open the DRC one hour later than previously scheduled, 9 a.m. instead of 8 a.m., and may make additional changes on Saturday morning based on weather conditions. Disaster Recovery Center is Open in Cocke County Cocke County residents who had damage or losses from Tropical Storm Helene are encouraged to visit FEMA’s Disaster Recovery Center in the old Walmart Building in Newport to apply for FEMA disaster assistance. The center is staffed with specialists from FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration and may have representatives from other organizations to help you recover.
