FEMA Will Bring Temporary Disaster Recovery Centers to More Crow Tribe Locations CROW AGENCY – FEMA disaster assistance specialists will visit several Crow Tribe locations to help people apply for disaster assistance. Crow Tribe members who had damage to a home, rental home, trailer or mobile home, or had damage to property caused by the August 6, 2024 severe storm and straight-line winds can apply for help with repairs and other needs. That is the last day for Tennessee homeowners, students and renters impacted by Tropical Storm Helene to apply for FEMA disaster assistance. Helene Disaster Recovery Centers to Temporarily Close Dec. 23 for Holiday Hickory, NC – In partnership with the state and local governments, 12 disaster recovery centers in Ashe, Avery, Burke, Buncombe, Haywood, Henderson, Madison, McDowell, Polk, Rutherford, Transylvania and Watauga counties will close at 6 p.m. on Dec. 23 for the holiday. The centers will reopen at 8 a.m. on Dec. 27. All centers will also be closed for New Year’s Day and reopen at 8 a.m. on Jan. 2, 2025.
