Tennessee Document Processing Centers to Close; FEMA Help Remains The Document Processing Centers operated by FEMA will close at 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan.24.   While FEMA centers were open, more than 5,146 people were able to get information and guidance in face-to-face meetings with  FEMA, the U.S. Small Business Administration and other agencies and organizations.   FEMA urges survivors to stay in touch. FEMA Will Bring Temporary Disaster Recovery Centers to More Crow Tribe Locations CROW AGENCY – FEMA disaster assistance specialists will visit several Crow Tribe locations to help people apply for disaster assistance.  Crow Tribe members who had damage to a home, rental home, trailer or mobile home, or had damage to property caused by the August 6, 2024 severe storm and straight-line winds can apply for help with repairs and other needs.  Temporary Disaster Recovery Centers will open at 1 p.m. on the first day of operations and then 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each following day in these locations:

FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers Opening in Los Angeles County LOS ANGELES – Two FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers will open tomorrow in Los Angeles County to assist Californians who experienced damage to their primary home, personal property loss or have disaster-caused emergency needs related to the wildfires. FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers Close as Document Processing Centers Open FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers in Carter, Cocke, Johnson, Unicoi and Washington counties will close at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan.7. That is the last day for Tennessee homeowners, students and renters impacted by Tropical Storm Helene to apply for FEMA disaster assistance. The deadline to apply for a long-term, low-interest disaster loan from the U.S. Small Business Administration is also Jan.7. Helene Disaster Recovery Centers to Temporarily Close Dec. 23 for Holiday Hickory, NC – In partnership with the state and local governments, 12 disaster recovery centers in Ashe, Avery, Burke, Buncombe, Haywood, Henderson, Madison, McDowell, Polk, Rutherford, Transylvania and Watauga counties will close at 6 p.m. on Dec. 23 for the holiday.  The centers will reopen at 8 a.m. on Dec. 27.  All centers will also be closed for New Year’s Day and reopen at 8 a.m. on Jan. 2, 2025.  To see the location of your nearest recovery center visit the DRC locator at fema.gov/drc.
