Current model guidance suggests these conditions will persist through at least Saturday night, and potentially even longer.

* WHAT...Dangerous rip currents. * WHERE...East facing reefs of the Marianas. * WHEN...Through late tonight. * IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Elevated trade swell is bringing a high risk of rip currents along east facing reefs of the Marianas through late tonight, with some likelihood of the Rip Current risk Statement to be extended if conditions warrant.

This is due to a tight pressure gradient as high pressure to our north is taking it's time to slide eastward. * WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Entirety of Guam. * WHEN...Until 100 PM ChST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1158 AM ChST, satellite estimates indicate heavy rain in the advisory area. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.6 and 1.2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.4 to 0.6 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding

Elevated northeast trade swell is still expected to bring a high risk of rip currents along east facing reefs through the weekend.
