Stong northwest winds of 20 to 30 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph will continue through sunset today, and possibly into mid evening. In addition, the dry air and windy weather will bring elevated fire danger today. Please avoid setting fires today. Drivers of vans. campers, trailers, and other high profile vehicles should be extra cautious.

Strong southwesterly winds today, gusting around 35 to 45 mph, unseasonably warm temperatures, and low relative humidity will result in an elevated fire danger this afternoon into the early evening. Vegetation remains dry throughout the area as well. Any fires that start in these conditions will have an increased risk of spreading quickly. Avoid or delay any outdoor burning, use extra caution with any farm machinery, and fully extinguish cigarettes or matches before disposing of them properly.
