The National Weather Service in Dodge City has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from 1 PM this afternoon to 8 PM CDT this evening. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zone 030 Trego. * TIMING...From 1 PM this afternoon to 8 PM CDT this evening. * WINDS...Southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 15 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday evening and Tuesday morning commutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A strong cold front will gradually lower snow levels from around 7000 feet near 6 PM to 5500 feet around 8 PM to below 5000 feet after 10 PM.
