Kentucky Disaster Recovery Centers Temporarily Closing Due to Severe Weather Frankfort, KY. – Disaster Recovery Centers in Kentucky will close temporarily on Saturday, March 15 2025, due to severe weather.  The centers will resume operations on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET, except the center in Clay County, which will resume operations on Monday at 7 a.m. ET. To find all disaster recovery center locations, including those in other states, go to fema.gov/drc or text “DRC” and a Zip Code to 43362.  FEMA is encouraging Kentuckians affected by the February storms to apply for federal disaster assistance as soon as possible. FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers Soon Closing in South Dakota – Help Will Still be Available SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers in South Dakota are soon closing permanently. The Mitchell location will end operations on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 4 p.m. The Canton and North Sioux City locations will end operations on Friday, Oct. 4 at 6 p.m.  Hours of operation up until the permanent closures are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m. The Centers are closed on Sundays. Disaster Recovery Centers in Galax, Pembroke and Tazewell, Va. are Permanently Closing on Nov. 16 BRISTOL, Va.– The Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) in Galax, Pembroke (Giles County), and Tazewell (Tazewell County) will be permanently closing at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16.
