To date, over 2,200 residents have applied to FEMA for federal financial assistance. Final Days to Register with FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers to Close Cape Girardeau, MO – Missourians in the counties of Barry, Butler, Carter, Howell, New Madrid, Ripley, Scott, Shannon, Stoddard and Texas who were impacted by the severe weather and flooding from May 19 – 27 have until Monday, Sept. 23, 2024, to apply with FEMA for assistance to support their disaster recovery.
