Winds may gust as high as 40 to 50 mph in the afternoon. Relative humidity values will drop to around 30 percent with gradual improvement possible as clouds approach from the north. * AFFECTED AREA...Central and Southern Iowa. * WIND...Northwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts 40 to 50 mph. * HUMIDITY...As low as 25 percent * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. At 827 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Grundy Center, moving east at 55 mph. This storm produced 52 mph wind gusts at the Iowa Falls Airport at around 815 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Steamboat Rock, Morrison, Tf Clark State Park, Ackley, Wellsburg, Conrad, Lincoln, Clutier, Eldora, Aplington, Holland, Dike, Beaman, Pine Lake State Park, Traer, Stout, Gladbrook, Hudson, Parkersburg, and Washburn.
