THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED TORNADO WATCH 181 IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM CDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN MINNESOTA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 1 COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL MINNESOTA PINE IN WISCONSIN THIS WATCH INCLUDES 3 COUNTIES IN NORTHWEST WISCONSIN BURNETT SAWYER WASHBURN THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF GRANTSBURG, HAYWARD, HINCKLEY, PINE CITY, SHELL LAKE, AND SPOONER. THIS ALSO INCLUDES THE TRIBAL LANDS OF THE LAC COURTE OREILLES RESERVATION, THE ST. CROIX BAND IN BURNETT COUNTY AND THE MILLE LACS BAND, HINCKLEY AND, LENA LAKE AREAS.

Relative humidity values are expected to fall into the 20 to 25 percent range this afternoon across Koochiching and portions of northern and central St. Louis counties. This will lead to near critical fire weather conditions. South winds will gust to around 15 mph this afternoon. The combination of the low humidity and gusts could lead to the rapid spread of fires.
