* WHAT...Blowing snow expected. Winds gusting as high as 65 mph in the higher terrain. * WHERE...Noatak Valley. * WHEN...From 9 AM Saturday to 9 AM AKST Monday. * IMPACTS...Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility to 1/2 mile at times. The cold wind chills as low as 30 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.

Heavy snow is looking likely from the YK Delta to the Interior. The heaviest looks to set up from the Nulato Hills and northeast from there. However, the YK Delta is on the edge and has the potential for heavy snow. Snowfall totals over the 4 day stretch may approach or exceed 12 inches in some spots, especially in the hills.

Heavy snow is looking likely in the Interior from Monday-Thursday. As of now, the Fairbanks area looks to miss most of the snow and be on the outer edges. However, north and west towards Tanana, Bettles and the Dalton Highway, expect periods of heavy snow next week. Snowfall totals over the 4 day stretch may approach or exceed 12 inches in some spots. Fairbanks North Star Borough may be around a few inches. As of now there is too much uncertainty to give exact snowfall amounts.

* WHAT...North winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph possible. * WHERE...Bering Strait Coast and Diomede. * WHEN...From Saturday afternoon through Monday afternoon. * IMPACTS...High winds may move loose debris, damage property and cause power outages. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
