Snow will continue through evening hours. Lower elevation valley locations will rise into the upper 30s this afternoon and Wednesday during the day, with temps falling back below freezing at night. Snowfall accumulations will come and go all the way through Thursday as a front remains draped over the region. In addition, gusty southwest winds to 30 mph may cause minor blowing snow, with more widespread blowing snow over the highway summits. Accumulating wet snow is expected at times, but accumulations will be light away from the Nulato Hills and higher elevations on the Seward Peninsula.
