A strong storm will bring strong southerly winds, mixed precipitation, and above freezing temperatures to the West Coast Sunday morning through Tuesday morning. Precipitation will begin as snow Sunday and briefly become mixed before quickly transitioning to rain by Sunday evening. Higher elevations, above 1000 to 1500 feet, will see exclusively snow with accumulations between 6 inches to more than a foot. Southeast winds along the West Coast will rise to 30 mph with gusts greater than 40 mph. Coastal impacts are minimal with this storm as winds are primarily from the South/Southeast.
