Areas of fog will reduce the visibility to one half mile or less in parts of northwest and north central North Dakota this morning. Motorists should be prepared for rapidly changing visibilities, and should use extra caution traveling. Use low beam headlights and be extra cautious at intersections and railroad crossings. ESFRIW Low elevation snowpack of around 2 to 8 inches exists across much of the northern portion of the Bighorn Basin including mountain foothills. This snowpack contains an estimated 1 to 3 inches of Snow Water Equivalent (SWE). Temperatures are expected to be in mid-30s to around 40 degrees Monday through Wednesday. Warmer temperatures occur Thursday through Sunday (Feb 27 - Mar 2). The upcoming warm temperatures, combined with the low elevation snowpack, could result in melting and injection into local rivers and streams.
