Runway 7/25 will be closed for major rehabilitation starting in June 2025 and will remain closed for approximately two months. Merrill Field Runway Safety Action Team Meeting
An Aviation Safety and Runway Safety Action Team meeting will convene April 12, 2019 to discuss operations on the Merrill Airport (MRI) and surrounding area. The meeting will begin at 5:00 PM in the UAA Aviation Technology Building Conference Room. Expect the meeting to last up to two hours. This year the meeting will include a variety of other safety related issues, topics, and concerns. Lumen Field to Become a Mission Ready Venue BOTHELL, Wash – Stadiums and venues provide a central and accessible location to help communities respond to extreme weather crises, providing safe storage and shelter in times of need. With these events becoming more frequent, severe, and expensive, FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell and NFL Chief Security Officer Cathy Lanier today announced that Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington, home of the Seahawks, will be among the first NFL venues to be designated as a Mission Ready Venue that can be used during response and recovery missions. Through Mission Ready Venues, a public-private partnership
