Florida State Watch Office Morning Situation Report EOC Activation Level: Level 2 Meteorological Summary: After several days of mostly dry conditions, an active weather pattern will return across the Panhandle beginning later this afternoon as scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop ahead of an approaching cold front (40-70% chance of rain). Showers and thunderstorms that develop this afternoon may be locally strong to severe and produce lightning, gusty winds and locally heavy downpours. FEMA assistance for individuals and families affected by the Feb. 15-18, 2025, storms, mudslides, landslides, and straight-line winds can cover home repairs, personal property losses and other disaster-related needs not covered by insurance. Residents, both homeowners and renters, in Logan, McDowell, Mercer, Mingo, Raleigh, Wayne, and Wyoming counties who sustained losses can apply for assistance in several ways: Visiting DisasterAssistance.gov.
