Public Assistance Aiding Community Recovery after Francine BATON ROUGE, La. – FEMA’s Public Assistance (PA) Program provides funding to help communities pay for emergency work to save lives and protect property, debris removal, and repairs to roads, bridges, water control facilities, public buildings, public utilities, parks and recreational facilities. PA is FEMA’s largest grant program and can reimburse eligible applicants on a cost-sharing basis to help clean up communities affected by disaster. FEMA Registration Deadline is Approaching Quickly for Hurricane Francine Survivors BATON ROUGE, La. –Louisiana residents with damage from Hurricane Francine have just a few weeks remaining to apply for disaster assistance. Nov. 16 is the registration deadline for survivors in Ascension, Assumption, Lafourche, Jefferson, St. Charles, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Mary and Terrebonne parishes. Survivors with a loss or damage should apply with FEMA even if they don’t have repair estimates or insurance settlements yet.
