FEMA Calls in Florida May Come from Unknown Phone Numbers TALLAHASSEE, Fla.– FEMA may call Floridians who applied for disaster assistance from unknown phone numbers. It is important to answer these calls. Survivors should return any missed phone calls. FEMA may call applicants to discuss the status of their cases, or to obtain more information to continue processing their applications. Survivors should check to make sure all contact information is current. Homeowners and renters can update their contact information online at DisasterAssistance.gov, by using the FEMA App or by phone at 800-621-3362. Lines are open every day and help is available

China’s crude oil imports decreased from a record as refinery activity slowed
Slower oil demand growth in 2024 led to less crude oil processed by China's refineries and fewer crude oil imports compared with the record high set in 2023. China, the world's largest importer of crude oil, received 11.1 million barrels per day (b/d) in 2024, down from 11.3 million b/d in 2023. Even though total imports decreased about 2%, imports from some countries increased while others decreased.

Mercer County, W.Va., applicants for disaster assistance should expect a follow-up call from FEMA CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is providing enhanced customer service to help all Mercer County survivors with disaster assistance after damages from the Sept. 25-28, 2024, remnants of Tropical Storm Helene.
