* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of west central Kansas, including the following county, Wallace. * WHEN...Until midnight MDT tonight. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 859 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding

Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued June 5 at 8:41PM MDT until June 5 at 8:45PM MDT by NWS Goodland KS

The storms which prompted the warning have weakened below severe limits, and no longer pose an immediate threat to life or property. Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. However, gusty winds and heavy rain are still possible with these thunderstorms. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM MDT for east central Colorado...and west central Kansas. To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service Goodland.

At 932 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking gusty showers near Selden, or 14 miles north of Hoxie, moving northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. This strong thunderstorm will be near... Dresden around 935 PM CDT.

At 829 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 5 miles northwest of Seibert, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northwestern Kit Carson County. This includes Interstate 70 in Colorado between mile markers 397 and 415.

Special Weather Statement issued May 28 at 8:15PM MDT by NWS Goodland KS

Fog will gradually increase in coverage across the area tonight. Visibilities will likely fall to under a half of a mile at times and will likely fluctuate through the night. A more widespread area of dense fog is possible overnight, which may make travel difficult. If traveling this evening, use extra caution and low beam headlights when encountering fog.

* WHAT...Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog. * WHERE...Portions of east central and northeast Colorado and northwest and west central Kansas. * WHEN...Until noon MDT /1 PM CDT/ Sunday. * IMPACTS...Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Locations in NW Kansas may not see the worst of the fog until Sunday morning. Eastern Colorado may drop down to one quarter mile or less this evening.
