Special Weather Statement issued April 19 at 2:25PM CDT by NWS Grand Forks ND

Relative humidity values will drop to 20 to 25 percent along with south winds 15 to 20 mph across northwest Minnesota, with occasional gusts to 30 mph in the Red River Valley. Given the extremely dry fuels, near critical fire weather conditions are expected for the afternoon hours. Any fire that does develop has the potential to quickly spread.
