Rain and snow showers this evening will transition to snow showers by tonight across Central and Eastern Indiana. Snow showers, in addition to rapidly falling temperatures below freezing and gusty winds may result in hazardous travel conditions at times later this evening and into the overnight hours. Gusty winds to 45 mph should limit overall accumulations; however blowing snow may reduce visibility under heavier snow showers.

Light to moderate snow will overspread central Indiana during the midday and afternoon hours Saturday. Snow will continue Saturday night...with heaviest intensity expected in evening hours near the US-50 corridor. Light snow will taper off from west to east late Saturday night. Total accumulation is expected to range from less than an inch along and north of the Interstste 74 corridor...to mainly 1-2 inches across southwestern and southern counties. Isolated accumulations near 3 inches are possible southwest of Bloomington. Slow down, drive carefully, and allow extra time to reach your destination.
