* WHAT...Hot temperatures as high as 80 to 90 degrees. * WHERE...Central Arctic Plains, Central Brooks Range, Howard Pass and the Delong Mountains, Northwest Arctic Coast, Western Arctic Coast, and Western Arctic Plains. * WHEN...Until 10 PM AKDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Individuals not accustomed to these unusually hot temperatures for this region may experience heat related illnesses. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Overnight temperatures will cool to 50 to 60 degrees but it will be very hot each afternoon and warmer everyday through Friday. The hottest temperatures will be in the Plains near Umiat. Hot temperatures may continue through this weekend.
