Snowfall last night was around 1 inch from around the City of Emporia northeast across Sussex and Surry counties, James City County and the City of Williamsburg, and the eastern portion of the Middle Peninsula. The snow quickly stuck to surfaces given cold temperatures and will linger this morning resulting in snow covered roads. If traveling across the area during the morning commute, slow down and allow for plenty of space between yourself and other vehicles.
