As of January 1, 2025, state taxes and fees on gasoline and diesel fuel averaged $0.33 per gallon (gal) of gasoline and $0.35/gal of diesel fuel, according to our table on federal and state motor fuel taxes.

“20% by 2020” Monthly Report (July 2018) The USHST, a regional partner to the International Helicopter Safety Team, set a goal in 2016 of reducing the fatal U.S. helicopter accident rate by 2020 to 0.61 fatal accidents per 100,000 flight hours, compared with USHST’s baseline rate of 0.76 per 100,000 hours. That number is the average fatal accident rate for 2009–2010 and 2012–2014. FEMA Awards Over $3.9 Million to Hardwick for July 2023 Storm Repair The Federal Emergency Management Agency will be sending more than $3.9 million in Public Assistance funding to the State of Vermont to reimburse the town of Hardwick to repair infrastructure and other damages caused by the July 2023 storms and flooding. That represents 90 percent of $4.4 million for the total cost of town projects. The state and local government are responsible for the remaining 10 percent.
