Marine Weather Statement issued April 30 at 6:13PM AKDT by NWS Juneau AK

A strong low will position itself in the eastern gulf late Wednesday, with sustained southerly strong breezes increasing to gale force overnight Wednesday into Thursday morning for Clarence Strait. Expect winds to slowly diminish later Thursday evening. A brief period of gales may develop for Stephens Passage and Fredrick Sound, mainly localized near Five Finger. Likelihood of short term gales Thursday morning have increased, but are still around 30%.
