The threat is greatest over the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, the northern and central Virginia Blue Ridge, the north-central Virginia piedmont near and west of Highway 15, and eastern West Virginia. Relative humidity values will drop 20 to 25 percent across most of the area this afternoon, with values of 15 to 20 percent in the lee of the Alleghenies and Shenandoah Valley.
