Special Weather Statement issued December 23 at 9:02PM EST by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC

Spotty light freezing rain is possible across portions of the central Shenandoah Valley into the central Virginia Piedmont Tuesday morning. Although spotty and light, any ice will make conditions slippery given recent cold weather. Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while driving. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.
