Total snow accumulations between 5 and 15 inches. * WHERE...Southern Mountains, primarily above 9000 feet. * WHEN...Until 6 AM MDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult at times along SR-12 for elevations above 9,000 feet during the nighttime hours as temperatures become cold enough for accumulating snowfall. Significant impacts to travel are not anticipated during the daylight hours. Any outdoor recreationists should expect periods of moderate to heavy snowfall in the high elevations (above 9,000ft) on Sunday and Monday afternoon.

Significant impacts to travel are not anticipated during the daylight hours. Any outdoor recreationalists should expect periods of moderate to heavy snowfall in the high elevations (above 9,000ft MSL) on Sunday and Monday afternoon.

...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED FOR SOUTHWESTERN NEW MEXICO ON SUNDAY... An upper level low pressure system will approach the region from the west on Sunday, increasing winds during the day from the south and southwest. Sustained winds of 20 to 25 mph will combine with minimum relative humidities around 10 percent to create critical fire danger. Critically dry fuels will allow fires to spread quickly. The National Weather Service in El Paso Tx/Santa Teresa has issued a Red Flag Warning for strong winds, low humidity, and high fire danger , which is in effect Sunday from noon to 9

The National Weather Service in Glasgow has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from noon to 8 PM MDT Sunday. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zones 120 and 122. * WIND...South at 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 30 mph. * HUMIDITY...As low as 10 percent. * THUNDERSTORMS...On Sunday between 6 PM and 8 PM. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
