Areas of dense fog with visibility down to a half mile or less developed in portions of south central and central Wisconsin this evening. This includes I-94 near Wisconsin Dells and I-39 near Westfield. Motorists should slow down and be prepared for a sudden reduction in visibility. Conditions are expected to persist until around 3 AM when winds begin to increase and high clouds move into the region.

Air temperatures have trended roughly 2 to 4 degrees lower than prior expectations. Isolated slick spots on roads are possible, particularly in any areas of standing water and elevated surfaces. Use caution if traveling late tonight. Temperatures should gradually climb above freezing after 3 AM Wednesday morning, ending the potential.
