Rain will change to snow on Friday afternoon with scattered snow showers continuing through Friday night. A dusting to one-half inch of snow will be possible across the plateau and lower elevations of northeast Tennessee, mainly on grassy surfaces. Ridgetops and higher peaks along the plateau may have localized amounts up to 1 inch of snow. Slow down and use caution if traveling across the higher elevations Friday afternoon and night. Be prepared for the possibilty of ice and snow covered roadways.
