Light to moderate snow will overspread central Indiana during the midday and afternoon hours Saturday. Snow will continue Saturday night...with heaviest intensity expected in evening hours near the US-50 corridor. Light snow will taper off from west to east late Saturday night. Total accumulation is expected to range from less than an inch along and north of the Interstste 74 corridor...to mainly 1-2 inches across southwestern and southern counties. Isolated accumulations near 3 inches are possible southwest of Bloomington. Slow down, drive carefully, and allow extra time to reach your destination.

A narrow swath of 1 to 2 inches of accumulating snowfall is possible along and near the I-64 corridor through southern Illinois and into southwest Indiana. The best chance will be north of the interstate, where locally higher amounts may occur. The best chance of accumulating snowfall will be during the afternoon and early evening, when temperatures of the air and ground are both above freezing. This might inhibit higher totals from being realized. The event winds down overnight, when temperatures will fall into the 20s. Special Weather Statement issued November 29 at 3:02PM EST by NWS Louisville KY

A quick hitting storm system will move through the region early Saturday evening through Sunday morning, bringing light snow accumulations with it. A coating to near 2 inches of snowfall is possible, although amounts around 1 inch will be the most likely scenario for many spots across southern Indiana and northern KY. This may cause some minor travel impacts through Sunday morning. Stay up to date of the latest forecasts as amounts and timing could change.
