An additional round of heavy snow is forecasted for this weekend as warm moist air moves over the Panhandle starting Friday night. Expect snow to spread north through Saturday into Sunday, with the potential to see nearly a foot of snow along the Icy Strait Corridor and Hyder. The Central Panhandle will also likely receive a range of 3 to 6 inches of snow Saturday into Sunday. Expect a transition to rainfall starting Saturday night for the southern Panhandle with rain expected along the Icy Strait

At 931 PM EST, radar indicated lake effect snow along a line extending from near Willowick to near Orwell, moving east at 15 mph. Snow is accumulating on roadways in higher elevations. HAZARDS INCLUDE... Visibility dropping to less than three quarters of a mile... Up to 1 inch of quick snow accumulation... Locations impacted include... Cleveland, Painesville, Willowick, Chardon, Fairport Harbor, Euclid, Mentor, Cleveland Heights, Willoughby, Eastlake, Geneva, Madison, Perry, Orwell, Timberlake, Chesterland, South Euclid, Mayfield Heights, East Cleveland, and Lyndhurst.
