State/Federal DRC Opens for Storm Survivors in Scott County DES MOINES, Iowa – Iowans in Scott County who have been impacted by severe storms and flooding from March 12 through May 16 can visit a Disaster Recovery Center that opens at 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 21. State/federal Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) are one-stop information centers that provide a place for homeowners, renters and business owners who sustained damage to get critical disaster recovery information in a face-to-face setting. FEMA Opens Additional Disaster Recovery Centers in Lincoln and Wilkes Counties ATLANTA – FEMA is opening additional Disaster Recovery Centers in Lincoln and Wilkes counties to provide one-on-one help for Georgians affected by Hurricane Helene. The centers are open Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays from 1 to 6 p.m. All recovery centers will be closed in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday Thursday, Nov. 28, and Friday, Nov. 29.
