FEMA Authorizes Funds to Fight Alder Springs Fire in Oregon BOTHELL, Wash. -  The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) authorized the use of federal funds to help with firefighting costs for the Alder Springs Fire burning in Jefferson County, Oregon.  The state of Oregon’s request for a declaration under FEMA’s Fire Management Assistance Grant (FMAG) program was approved by FEMA Region 10 Acting Administrator Vincent J. Maykovich on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 10:27 p.m. PT. FEMA Authorizes Funds to Fight Rowena Fire in Oregon BOTHELL, Wash. -  The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) authorized the use of federal funds to help with firefighting costs for the Rowena Fire burning in Wasco County, Oregon.  The state of Oregon’s request for a declaration under FEMA’s Fire Management Assistance Grant (FMAG) program was approved by FEMA Region 10 Acting Administrator Vincent J. Maykovich on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 8:06 p.m. PT. President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. Approves Major Disaster Declaration for Oregon WASHINGTON –– FEMA announced that federal disaster assistance is available to the state of Oregon to supplement recovery efforts in the areas affected by wildfires from July 10 to Aug. 23, 2024. Public Assistance federal funding is available to the state, tribal, and eligible local governments and certain private nonprofit organizations on a cost-sharing basis for emergency work and the repair or replacement of facilities damaged by wildfires in Gilliam, Grant, Umatilla, Wasco and Wheeler counties.
