Update: We've received feedback that the HNL North Six Arrival procedure could result in a challenging turn from Base Leg to Final Approach for RWY 4L or 4R. While the following Notice as originally sent addresses the current situation, we want to emphasize that safety is always THE most important concern - nothing else comes close. Accordingly, pilots should consider requesting an alternate arrival or offshore vectors and must be cognizant of all potential risk factors, especially current winds. HNL Airport Arrival and Departure Procedures
Arrival and departure procedures are being strictly interpreted at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL), especially since the January 23, 2025 reopening of Runway 4R-22L (and temporary closure of RWY 4L-22R). To avoid a potential pilot deviation, precise compliance with arrival and departure procedures is required; for one example, aircraft on the North Six Arrival must cross RWY 8L at the specific crossing point detailed in the arrival procedure. As ever, all pilots are reminded to review all current NOTAMS and all applicable arrival and departure procedures before operating at HNL Airport.
