Winds gusting as high as 50 mph. * WHERE...Sierra Nevada from Yosemite to Lake Isabella above 4500 feet. * WHEN...Until 10 PM PST Monday. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes.

* WHAT...Snow showers, which allow a quick coating to an inch of snow to accumulate in a short time period, combined winds gusting as high as 55 mph at Tejon Pass level. From 5000 feet and above, there is a 70 percent probability for 6 inches of snow, especially in the Pine Mountain Club communities. At 3000 to 5000 feet there is a 50 percent chance of an inch or more, with at least a trace of snow expected. At 602 PM PST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles north of Tupman, or 19 miles west of Bakersfield, moving southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph, pea size hail and brief heavy rain. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Rosedale, Harris Ranch, Buttonwillow, and Bakersfield.

These sneaker waves can also move large objects such as logs, crushing anyone caught underneath.
