Interstate 80 between Lovelock and Winnemucca may turn slick early Monday morning.

For the High Surf Advisory, from 9 AM Saturday to 9 PM PST Monday. * IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion.

* WHAT...A long period westerly swell will result in an increased risk of sneaker waves and rip currents with breaking waves of 12 to 14 feet. * WHERE...Northern Monterey Bay. * WHEN...Through 9 PM PST Monday. * IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. Sneaker waves can unexpectedly run significantly farther up the beach than normal, including over rocks and jetties. These waves can suddenly knock people off their feet and quickly pull them into the cold ocean waters, where currents will be stronger than normal. These waves can also carry driftwood logs and other debris.

These sneaker waves can also move large objects such as logs, crushing anyone caught underneath.

Winds gusting as high as 55 mph. * WHERE...Riverside County Mountains and San Bernardino County Mountains. * WHEN...From 10 AM Sunday to 4 PM PST Monday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute, including along I-15 near Cajon Summit. Strong winds could cause tree damage. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow accumulations up to 1 inch possible as low as 4500 ft. Snow will taper off by Monday morning with gusty winds continuing into the late afternoon.
