Strong east winds of 20 to 35 mph with gusts up to 45 mph will be seen this morning from the Interstate 80 corridor on north. The strong winds will cause difficult driving on area roads during the morning commute, especially for high profile vehicles. In addition, loose objects will be easily blown around. The winds are expected to decrease late this morning and into the afternoon.

Strong winds are expected to continue through this evening with frequent gusts of 35 to 45 mph. Isolated showers or storms that develop may locally enhance these winds and could lead to brief gusts over 50 mph. The strongest winds could bring down tree limbs and blow around loose objects. Motorists should be extra cautious this evening because the strong winds will make for difficult travel conditions, especially for high profile vehicles.
