Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts around 1 inch are expected over the area. At 1011 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Cary, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill, Creedmoor, Louisburg, Wake Forest, Garner, Clayton, and Butner.

Raleigh County, W.Va., Disaster Recovery Center opens April 15 News release Raleigh County, W.Va., Disaster Recovery Center opens April 15 CHARLESTON, W.Va. – A Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) will open in Raleigh County at 8 a.m. April 15, 2025. FEMA encourages residents, including homeowners and renters, of the disaster-impacted counties to register for assistance.   The center is located at:  Raleigh County Disaster Recovery Center Beckley-Raleigh County Emergency Services  1224 Airport Road Beaver WV 25813   Hours of operation: Monday through Saturday: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Closed Sundays Homeowners and renters in Logan, McDowell, Mercer, Mingo, Raleigh, Wayne, and Wyoming
