Hydrologic Outlook issued December 27 at 2:49PM PST by NWS Seattle WA

ESFSEW Additional frontal systems will bring precipitation to Western Washington at times through the weekend. While precipitation will be much less with the systems today and into this weekend, the lack of much of a break will keep rivers over the Southwest Interior rising into the weekend. The Chehalis River appears to be cresting this afternoon well below flood stage through Thurston and Lewis Counties, but will continue to monitor the Chehalis at Porter in Grays Harbor County as it is still forecast just shy of flood stage this weekend. Please monitor the latest river forecasts from the National Weather

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Washington... Skokomish River At Potlatch affecting Mason County. .Additional rounds of rain over the Olympics this weekend will keep the Skokomish River above flood stage. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Skokomish River at Potlatch. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 16.5 feet, the Skokomish River will cause widespread flooding of pasture lands, with water flowing quickly over West Bourgault Road and Skokomish Valley Road. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:30 AM PST Friday the stage was 17.2 feet. - Flood stage is 16.5 feet. -

ESFSEW Additional frontal systems will bring precipitation to Western Washington at times through the weekend. While precipitation will be much less with the systems today and into this weekend, the lack of much of a break will keep rivers over the Southwest Interior rising into the weekend. The potential for the lower reaches of the Chehalis River to flood on Saturday continues to be monitored. Please monitor the latest river forecasts from the National Weather Service for additional information.

High Surf Advisory issued December 26 at 10:06AM PST until December 27 at 10:00AM PST by NWS Seattle WA

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 17 to 22 feet in the surf zone. * WHERE...North Coast zone. * WHEN...Until 10 AM PST Friday. * IMPACTS...Large waves may wash over beaches, jetties, and other structures unexpectedly. Localized beach erosion is possible. People can be swept off rocks and jetties, and drown while observing high surf. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The threat for coastal flooding has decreased this morning as the high tide as passed, so the coastal flood advisory has been cancelled. High surf conditions will continue through Friday morning.

* WHAT...Minor coastal flooding. Inundation of around 2.0 to 2.2 feet above ground level is possible along shorelines and low- lying coastal areas. * WHERE...Eastern Strait of Juan de Fuca and Western Strait of Juan De Fuca zones. * WHEN...Until 2 PM PST this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Minor coastal flooding due to tidal overflow is expected around high tide. This may lead to flooding of parking lots, parks, and roads, with only isolated road closures expected.

* WHAT...Southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. * WHERE...Hood Canal Area, Bellevue and Vicinity, Bremerton and Vicinity, East Puget Sound Lowlands, Everett and Vicinity, Lower Chehalis Valley Area, Seattle and Vicinity, Southwest Interior, and Tacoma Area. * WHEN...Until 1 PM PST this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds will be strongest from Seattle southward through this morning. There will be a range of peak wind gusts from 30 to 50 MPH.

* WHAT...Southeast winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph will transition to west winds this morning with localized gusts up to 60 MPH. * WHERE...Admiralty Inlet Area. * WHEN...Until 1 PM PST this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
