Lowering humidity values to near 25 percent along with northwest winds gusting to 25 to 30 mph will create some near-critical fire weather conditions early to mid-afternoon across northwest Iowa and portions of southwest Minnesota. Winds are expected to trend slowly downward this afternoon which should begin to ease the approach towards critical fire weather conditions by late this afternoon.
