In response to those concerns, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has solicited and received input from local communities and other stakeholders specifically on helicopter noise and safety issues. The FAA has expressed that the most satisfactory and widely accepted noise abatement measures are those developed and supported by engaged stakeholders and the FAA at the local level.
