Strong potentially severe thunderstorms will develop in advance of a slow moving cold front over Northwestern PA and an upper level disturbance moving out of Ohio. Florida State Watch Office Morning Situation Report EOC Activation Level:  Level 2   Meteorological Summary: Unsettled and active weather will continue today throughout the Peninsula as an upper-level disturbance and lingering frontal boundary will continue to bring scattered to widespread showers and thunderstorms throughout the day (80-near 100% chance of rain). The heaviest rainfall looks to remain over the Florida Keys and southernmost Peninsula areas this morning before additional activity develops with daytime heating and spreading inland. Air Quality Alert issued June 3 at 3:30PM EDT by NWS State College PA

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has issued a Code ORANGE Air Quality Alert on Wednesday for the Susquehanna Valley. A Code ORANGE Air Quality Alert means that air pollution concentrations within the region may become unhealthy for sensitive groups. Sensitive groups include children, people suffering from asthma, heart disease or other lung diseases, and the elderly. The effects of air pollution can be minimized by avoiding strenuous activity or exercise outdoors.
