* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 6 to 9 feet with dangerous rip currents. * WHERE...Ventura County Beaches. * WHEN...From 4 AM Tuesday to 4 AM PST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...There is an increased risk for ocean drowning. Rip currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Large breaking waves can cause injury, wash people off beaches and rocks, and capsize small boats near shore. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There is a brief lull in the surf on Wednesday, but the surf builds again into Thursday. This High Surf Advisory will likely need to be extended.

For the High Rip Current Risk, life-threatening rip currents in the surf zone. * WHERE...Northern beaches of Puerto Rico, from Rincon to Fajardo. * WHEN...For the High Surf Advisory, until 6 AM AST Monday. For the High Rip Current Risk, until 6 PM AST Monday. * IMPACTS...High waves that can wash over jetties and sweep people and pets onto jagged rocks. Rough surf may also knock you down. Large breaking waves will result in localized beach and dune structure erosion and dangerous swimming conditions.
