Surface observations and MNDOT road cameras reveal dense fog across east central Minnesota. Satellite illustrates the eastward movement of low stratus/areas of dense fog, thus it appears likely that visibility will deteriorate for locations to the east across western Wisconsin in the coming hours. Visibility may fall below 1/2 mile at times. Drivers are encouraged to slow down, use low beams, and leave plenty of distance between the vehicles. Additionally, a few slick spots appear possible on area roadways due to reports of freezing fog. Visibility will improve as winds increase after daybreak.
