* WHAT...Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog. * WHERE...Todd, Chippewa, Douglas, Lac Qui Parle, Pope, Stevens, Swift, and Yellow Medicine Counties. * WHEN...From 11 PM this evening to noon CST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Temperatures below freezing will result in this being a freezing fog, which could result in patchy ice accretion on paved surfaces, especially on bridges.

Areas of freezing drizzle expected to transition to light snow this morning. Amounts will be light, with the highest snowfall totals expected in the Eau Claire area, where up to a half inch of snow is possible. While amounts will be light, it's possible that slick spots may develop on the roads. Drivers are encouraged to use caution when traveling this morning, leaving plenty of distance to stop if encountering wintry precipitation.

Confidence continues to increase in the potential for a band of 3 to 6 inches of snow across central Minnesota through western Wisconsin, generally near and north of the Interstate 94 corridor, Wednesday night through much of Thursday. Northern and eastern portions of the Twin Cities metro could potentially be included within such a band of plowable snow. There is still some uncertainty in exactly where and how wide this band of snow develops.
