Biden declared a major disaster in the State of Alaska for flooding on August 5-6, a total of 248 people in The City and Borough of Juneau have applied with FEMA for assistance as of November 19, 2024. South Dakota Disaster Recovery Update SIOUX FALLS, S.D.– In the two months since President Biden’s major disaster declaration for South Dakota, federal agencies have approved more than $14.7 million in grants and loans to assist in recovery. Dates: (Phase 1A) June 15, 2025 – July 14, 2025: Pre-closure Work Location: Construction will occur at Taxiway A / B. Airfield Closures: Nightly closures of Runway 3-21 (expected to be 8pm – 6am). Effects on NAVAID's: The plan is to have the NAVAID's stay on at night during the entire duration of pre-closure work (but will be NOTAM’d out). Update: We've received feedback that the HNL North Six Arrival procedure could result in a challenging turn from Base Leg to Final Approach for RWY 4L or 4R. While the following Notice as originally sent addresses the current situation, we want to emphasize that safety is always THE most important concern - nothing else comes close. Accordingly, pilots should consider requesting an alternate arrival or offshore vectors and must be cognizant of all potential risk factors, especially current winds.
