The Indiana Department of Environmental Management has declared an Air Action Day, until midnight EDT tonight. Levels of ozone within the region may approach or exceed unhealthy standards. On Alert days, help reduce ozone by taking the following actions: * Carpool, if possible, bike, walk or take the bus instead of driving alone. * Refuel your vehicle after 8 pm. * Do not idle your vehicle, exhaust contributes to air pollution. * Mow your lawn in the evening hours and avoid the use of gas-powered lawn equipment. It may sweep swimmers off their feet, making it difficult to return to shore.

IMPACT...Very Heavy Rain and Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Lake City, Kingstree, Johnsonville, Pamplico, Hemingway, Rhems, Cades, Poston, Brittons Neck, Nesmith, Indiantown, Outland, Gresham, Hebron, Morrisville, Henry, Salters, Trio, Hyman, and Hannah.

The Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission has issued an Air Quality Alert for Delaware, Fairfield, Franklin and Licking counties in Central Ohio, until midnight EDT tonight. Fine particulate levels are expected to be in the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups range. Active children and adults, and people with respiratory disease, such as asthma should limit prolonged outdoor exposure.
